A document is any contract, agreement, NDA, or legal file you create, import, or process through CloviLegal in a calendar month. Viewing, signing as a recipient, or downloading a shared document does not consume a document credit.
eSign is fully native — no DocuSign, no HelloSign, no extra subscriptions. Every signer receives a legally binding email invite. Completed documents include a tamper-evident audit certificate. The eSignature count in each plan reflects the number of signature requests you send each month, not the number of signers per document.
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. Downgrades apply at the end of your current billing cycle. Cancellations stop future charges — your data remains accessible for 30 days. Monthly plans have no lock-in. Refunds follow our refund policy.
We send you an email alert at 80% usage. When you hit the cap, new document creation is paused until the next billing cycle — no surprise overages, no automatic billing bumps. You can upgrade at any time to restore access immediately or wait for the cycle to reset.
A seat is a team member who can log in, create documents, and run AI reviews. External signers (clients, counterparties) never consume a seat — they receive a signing link and sign for free regardless of your plan. Additional seats beyond your plan can be purchased as add-ons on Firm and Agency tiers.
Yes. Tier 2 and Tier 3 AppSumo codes are stackable — each additional code adds 3 or 10 seats respectively to your account (depending on tier). All document and eSign limits are per account, not per seat. Stacking codes does not multiply limits; it expands your seat count only.
